Swatch: Hits - Blue Jazz

Hi ladies! Again, I am the worst blogger in the world. This post was supposed to be up yesterday, but since I wasn't able to schedule it on Thursday and went for a 'nap' when I got in from work yesterday that ended up being a full night sleep, that didn't happen. I wanted to show you one of the many Hits polishes I purchased from Sally Magpies a couple weeks ago from the MTV collection. Hits polishes come from Brazil and would otherwise be unknown to us if stockists like Llarowe hadn't introduced them to us all. Of course, being from the UK ordering from Llarowe took time since it's based in the US - so I never did, but when I heard about Sally Magpies and found out she also stocks Hits, I knew I had to get a couple to try.

So let's have a look at Blue Jazz!

Blue Jazz is a sheer Blue jelly base with Blue holographic & Green hexagonal glitter and smaller Blue holographic glitter. I applied 2 coats of Blue Jazz over OPI - Yodel Me On My Cell and applied a top coat to smooth everything out. This is very similar to Deborah Lippmann - Across The Universe, but since I don't have Across The Universe I can't do a full comparison to see just how similar.

Swatch: piCture pOlish - Focus

Hi ladies! I have a special polish to show you today, which was created by a fabulous friend and blogger, Sheila from Pointless Cafe as part of piCture pOlish's Blogger Collaboration. I'm sure you all know who she is and are already followers, but if not click the name and it will take you to her blog! Focus was originally going to be named Perspective, but it was a too long a word to be written on the bottle, so Sheila decided to use Focus instead; thus the polish was born.
Let's have a little look at Focus shall we?

Focus is a Raspberry Pink and jelly base packed with Magenta, Blue and Purple glass flecks and some tiny Shimmers for good measure. I'm not really a Pink fan, but I'm in love with this polish, it's the perfect balance between a Red and a Pink without being too much of either. I applied 3 coats of Focus without a top coat.

Swatch: Cirque - Epoch, Ophelia & XX

Hi ladies! This post was supposed to go up on Friday, but since I wasn't feeling too like blogging that day, I decided to post it today. I recently introduced you to Sally Magpies in this post, which is a brand new on line e-tailer for otherwise hard to get polishes such as Hits, Jade, piCture pOlish and now Cirque. I am honoured to have the opportunity from Sally to review a selection of the Cirque polishes available from her shop. So without further ado, here are Epoch, Ophelia and XX!

Epoch comes from the Dark Horse collection and is a Blackened Teal base with a Purple duo chrome shift. As always, the duo chrome wasn't captured on the nail inside of my light box, but it is visible in the bottle. I applied 3 coats of Epoch without a base or top coat.

Ophelia is also from the Dark Horse collection and is a mixture of Periwinkle hexagonal glitter with subtle Pink and Blue micro glitter in a clear base. I layered one coat of Ophelia over OPI - Unfor-Greta-Bly Blue without a base or top coat.

XX is a colourful combination of multiple shape, size and colour glitter. There's so many variations of glitter in here that it's impossible to describe them all. I layered 1 coat of XX over OPI - Lincoln Park At Midnight without a top coat.
