ABC Challenge: B is for Butter London

Hi ladies, me again! I'm back with the second post of the day this time with Butter London, you can see my first post with the introduction to the ABC challenge and All That Glitters for 'A's entry by clicking here. Or alternatively you could click here to see all posts for the ABC Challenge so far, because there's THAT many...Since I've already introduced the Challenge and all that jazz, I won't ramble on aimlessly. So let's get into the swatches shall we..

Scouse is a Royal Blue/Purple/Pink Duochrome which is built up of Blue, Purple and Pink flakies which dries to a Satin finish. I was actually surprised at how sheer this polish is, it took 3 coats to reach full opacity, which is unusual for such a dark polish, I guess that has something to do with the flakies inside the polish. This is Scouse without a Base or Top Coat.

Brummie is a Bright Purple Creme which dries to a Rubber finish. I had to use 3 coats of Brummie to reach full opacity and to cover the odd patches from the second coat. This is Brummie without a Base or Top Coat.

We seemed to have had a little 'accent' post going on here, which wasn't even intended. For those of you not from the UK, A 'Scouse' is the British Slang for the people and accent of Liverpool and a 'Brummie' is British Slang for the people and accent of Birmingham. I also believe both polishes featured above are US exclusives, with Brummie only being sold at Macy's but I was fortunate enough to receive these in a Secret Santa package a group I'm in was hosting.
Which brand would have been your pick for 'B'? Let me know in the comments!

Swatch: The Ultimate Purple/Green Duochrome Dupe Post! (PIC HEAVY)

Hi ladies! I have something very different for you today. I have actually been planning this for a while, but I needed a few 'foreign' brands so I had enough variations. After some asking around and purchasing, I finally have enough variants for the post! I won't bore you with a huge intro, since there are going to be a lot of photos to show you, but I have tried to balance higher-end brands with lower end brands so no matter your price limit, there will be something for you! First I'll show you the Duochrome with 'Sparkles' followed by the plain Duochromes.

Swatch: Butter London - The Black Knight

Hi ladies! I know I haven't actually posted a swatch in a while, truth is I was going to take a hiatus, but I missed it a lot! So I'm back with a vengeance and I WILL post more frequently, I promise. I'm also going for a new layout with my posts, I want to make it a lot simpler to read and also shorter. When I have my photos to the left and text next to it, I feel obliged to fill the entire space with words, but sometimes I don't even have that much to talk about. Anyway, enough rambling, let's get into the post.

Today I have for you another newcomer to my blog, Butter London! The Black Knight was one of the polishes I was sent by Emily in a mini swap package after I moaned how much I've been lusting after it! The Black Knight is a sheer, black base packed with blue, red, pink and purple glitter. To save time and polish, I layered 2 coats of The Black Knight over Essie - Licorice. I didn't have too many problems with the application, I did notice the glitter clump in a couple places, but I think that was a lot to do with the amount of polish I had on my brush!

Crappy bottle shot.

Natural Daylight (excuse the nasty cuticle disaster & shoddy clean up!)
Direct Sunlight
You can purchase Butter London directly from their website for £12 each as well as various on line retailers such as BeautyBooth, Naturismo for £9.60 and even Boots for £10 each!
