Swatch: ILNP - Ultra-Chromes

Hi ladies! The official release of the brand new Ultra-Chromes from ILNP is today (6th September) - at 12 PST to be exact. so I thought I would take a couple moments of your time to show my swatches of the 4 polishes from the collection. Before I get into the swatches, for those of you who aren't aware of the ILNP brand, here's a little snippet of information;

ILNP is created by a lovely lady named Barbra and is based out of Las Vegas, NV in the US. Barbra first opened shop in August 2012 and has since taken the Nail Community by storm. Housed in a sleek, branded box ILNP displays traits usually found in high end brands such as Illamasqua, Chanel, Dior etc, with 12ml of product in a tall, slim bottle complete with a matte Black rubberised cap for easy grip and a wide brush for easy application. Everything about this brand screams high end and mass produced, when in reality it's just an indie brand of which is hand created by just one mind. All ILNP polish are created using a 3-free suspension base.

I'm going to insert a jump break here due to the amount of photos in this post, I tried my best to capture the colour shifts but it's so darn difficult to do! I also tried narrowing it down to just 2 photos, but there's just no way you could see the amazing colour shifting in just 2. The photos below show 1 coat of each polish layered over Black *ring & pinkie finger* and 2 coats of each riding solo *pointer & middle finger* finished off with Dazzle Dry quick dry top coat.

Birefringence is a predominantly Blue base with a Purple/Golden/Green/Pink (just to name a few) colour shift. Just look at those photos! This is by far my favourite out of the 4, closely followed by one you'll see shortly. The application was flawless and for a duo-chrome, or ultra-chrome, they're extremely pigmented. Of course, you can't show the true nature of a multi-chromed polish without submerging them in water too...there's just no words.

My Little Glacier has the least noticeable colour shift out of the 4, with a subtle shift from an Icy Blue to an Steel Grey/Blue, there's even the tiniest hint of Purple when hit in the right spot. It's not until it's submerged in water do you see the full duo potential of My Little Glacier. Again, there was no issue with the formula or any application issues.

Mutagen is a predominantly Green base with a Golden/Blue/Purple/Pink shift. This is my second favourite out of the collection, it just looks like it's glowing from the inside out! I actually found this one to be the easiest to capture on camera, but saying that, it was still super difficult to do it the justice it deserves!

And finally we have Cyngus Loop which is a predominantly Purple base with a Brown/Golden/Orange/Yellow shift. When in water and in the bottle you can also see a hint of Green, but it's not as visible when looking at the nail directly. As an added little surprise, Cyngus Loop has a super subtle sprinkling of Silver shimmer (say that 5x fast, I dare you) that I didn't even notice until editing the photos!

That concludes my swatches of the brand new ILNP Ultra-Chromes! How many of you have already got these on pre-order? If you missed out on the pre-order, don't panic! ILNP will be launching the Ultra-Chromes today (6th September) at 12pm PST RIGHT HERE priced at $12.50.
