Swatch: eye CANDY - Liquid Gold

Hi ladies! So you may remember I posted a Press Release for the new eye CANDY Nail Polishes which are being released into larger Sainsburys stores around the UK, well today I have one of three eye CANDY polishes to show you! I won't bore you with a super long intro, but I will quickly give you a little information about eye CANDY nail polishes!

So now that you all have a little information on eye CANDY, let's get on to the swatches! Here is one of the four Colour Flip polishes in the collection, Liquid Gold.

Liquid Gold is a gorgeous dark, metallic Gold with a Blue/Green duochrome effect. There's been a lot of these floating around the polish world lately, ever since the infamous Chanel - Peridot was released in the Autumn of 2011, from brands such as OPI, Jessica, Ciaté and soon to be China Glaze. Unfortunately, I don't own any of the above so I can't compare them for you, but from what I can see, they do look similar. The formula of eye CANDY polishes are amazing, they glide on like butter and from what I can see, they are all very pigmented and have a quick drying time, which is perfect for when you're on the go!

eye CANDY Colour Flip polishes are available for purchase at most large Sainsburys stores in the UK for £8 each! As of right now, Sainsburys are the sole retailers for eye CANDY polishes, but they are planning on expanding to selected retailers in the future. What are your thoughts on Liquid Gold? Swatch: BarryM - Gold Foil (Instant Nail Effects)

Hi ladies! Welcome to Day 5 of BarryM week! Some of you may have already seen my post on BarryM - Silver Foil last month, so I thought it was about time I posted another polish from their Instant Nail Effects line. Gold Foil is one of the original two colours released by BarryM in their foil line, they have since added Lilac Foil into their collection (which was originally a Limited Edition polish over the Christmas period). I must say, it took me a while to actually buy Gold Foil, there was just something about it I didn't like, but I finally took the 'plunge' and picked it up.

Gold Foil is actually a lot less Yellow than I originally anticipated, which means it doesn't completely wash out my skin and make me look like I have lobsters for hands...which is always a bonus in my books. As like all foil effects, the brush strokes are visible there are ways to minimise this if you're anti brush lines, such as painting the sides of your nails first and then finishing off with a stroke down the middle.
