Guest Blogger: Smashley Sparkles!

Hi ladies! Today we have the Queen of Water Marbling dropping by for a visit! Ever since I can remember, I have been in awe of Ashley's Water Marbelling skills, especially since I find them next to impossible! Straying slightly away from the typical Water Marble, Ash is showing us this awesome Spotted Water mani! So let's hand the reigns over to Ashley!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi guys!  When Rachel asked me to do this guest post we talked about me doing a water marble since she said she loves when I do those.  I sort of veered off a bit from that though and came up with this.  This is my first attempt at the water spotting technique!

For my base I used one coat of OPI Funny Bunny, and then I randomly painted on Kiko 339, Illamasqua Jo'mina, and Nails Inc for InStyle Power Pink.  Once I had my splodged (as Debbie from The Crumpet would call it) base I used OPI Suzi Loves Cowboys in the cup of water and I sprayed some glasses lens cleaner in to make the spots.

This combo was inspired by a Design Seeds palette (Color Basket) that I saw with a photo of some pastel hued macarons in a brown basket.  I thought the contrast of the brown with the pastels was really interesting in the photo, but maybe it didn't end up translating as well as I had hoped on the nail.

Either way it was fun to practice the water spotting technique!  I hope you guys enjoyed this look, and thank you to Rachel for asking me to guest post!

Hello Polished Criminails readers! My name is Lisa I have a blog named Nail Polish Creations, I am super excited to share a mani with you today. I signed up to do this guest post and with e-mail response was told to possible do a post with my favourite nail art techniques/nail art tools/nail polishes you couldn't live without etc. I decided to do a mani featuring my favourite colour, favourite nail art design, with my must have polish, and use my favourite nail art decoration. Somehow I was able to collaborate each of those aspects into one mani, lets check it out!

Color Club: Eternal Beauty
Lime Crime: Lavendairy
Glequins

Let me elaborate on each of my favourite's now. If you are familiar with my blog you already know I am obsessed with purple, thus being my favourite colour. I just LOVE all puzzle mani's, they are so simple and I always get compliments on my nails when I have this design on. My must have polish is Eternal Beauty, yes it is purple, and it is the best hologram ever with fantastic formula! Lastly my favourite nail art decoration is glequins, they are so versatile and who doesn't love more sparkle! I hope you enjoyed my mani and maybe I will see you over at my blog! Thanks for allowing me to guest post!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I love this design! I must be the only person in the world that hasn't done a puzzle manicure! This also reminds me that I must purchase those gorgeous Lime Crime polishes asap! Hey Ladies!

Third guest post :D I love doing these things and making an appearance on my favourite blogs! I'm so glad I discovered Polished Criminals, love Rachel's blog loads! Part of the British bloggers group on facebook I jumped at the second I saw she wanted guest bloggers, I mean...who wouldn't?! One of my favourite bloggers!

Today's post I've written up is all about my iPhone case, it's so cute and has watermelons on it!! The seeds of the watermelon is like bumpy and I keep running my nails against it :D simple pleasures!
I wanted to paint em on my nails!

I used a base colour of Pussy Galore - O.P.I (OMG, Fav polish ever :D) Reviewed it HERE! And used a brush to do the finer detail :)

What do y'all thinkies?!

Love the texture the base colour gives to the design on top so I didn't bother adding top coat :)

Here is the phone case!

Soooooo Cute!!
Oh but I didn't stop there :) I went crochet crazy and crocheted a watermelon to go along!!

Yes! Just that last touch was needed :D Overall, love how the manicure turned out!

What do you guys think? :)

Thank you Rachel for having me :) xxxxxxxxxx (lol)

Part II is 3 new shimmer-dusted cremes and 2 new glitter toppers that give each creme a bold or sweet look. I am so excited to add these all to our lineup!" – Dee

Swatch: A England - She Walks In Beauty

Hi ladies! I have an old A England swatch I found whilst browsing through my swatch folders that has yet to be published so I thought I would give it it's time in the Spotlight. I don't really have much to say here, so let's get straight into it!

She Walks In Beauty is part of the Heavenly Quotes collection and is a mix of large and small Rose coloured hexagonal glitter in a shimmering Golden base. The Golden shimmer shifts as it hits different lighting, which adds to it's unique-ness. I did need to do a little glitter placement with some of the larger hexagonal glitters, but nothing too major. I layered one coat of She Walks In Beauty over Killer Colours - Twisted Silk* without a top coat.

A England polishes can be purchased directly from their website for £9 each if you're in the UK. Due to the new Royal Mail restrictions, A England no longer ships internationally. But never fear! International readers can purchase A England polishes from these retailers; Ninja Polish, Llarowe, Mei Mei Signatures and Nail Polish Canada

Swatch Spam: ILNP

Hi ladies! It's been a while since I posted some swatches, or even posted at all! I've really been unmotivated in the swatching/writing department lately, so when inspiration hits, or should I say motivation, I grab it by the horns. Since the sun is shining today, I thought I would share the new ILNP holo's I bought recently, along with some of their glitter toppers for good measure!
So let's talk formula and application; The holo's were amazing in both areas, they glided on without any issues of patching/smudging and dried fairly quick too. They're super pigmented and show the holo effect a bit more than seen in the photos. I thought I'd take photos of them both inside the light box and outside in the sunshine so you're able to see the full effect.
As for the glitters; I always seem to have a bit of trouble applying them. I find that the base is slightly thicker than some of the indies I've tried and because of this struggle to get the 'perfect' application. But a little perseverance and patience (and a thick coat of top coat) does make a difference.

Nevertheless, I'm in love with the ILNP brand, just the colour combinations Barbra, the creator behind the brand, comes up with are truly gorgeous. Not to mention the packaging, they're the cutest most high-end looking indie polishes I have ever come across and their customer service is second to none. All purchase information and social media links will be at the bottom of the post!

So for now, let's enjoy the swatches!
