ABC Challenge; H is for Hits

Hi ladies! I mentioned in G's post that there were 2 holo polishes that had to be taken with a flash, you've already seen one, now it's time to show you the other! Before we get to the swatches, I want to say a HUGE thank you to my amazing friend and fellow Brit blogger Debbie over at The Crumpet since this post, as well as some others, wouldn't have been possible without her kindly allowing me to 'rent' some polishes from her for the purpose of this challenge! If you're not a follower of Debbie, then you're missing out! Go do it!

Now let's get into the swatches!

Tango is a combination of Red, Orange, Amber, Green, Blue and Purple flakies in a tinted Black jelly base. I must say I was a little disappointed with how little flakies applied onto the nail, especially when compared to the Finger Paints collection. Though Tango did have a tinted base, I chose to layer 2 coats over Wet N Wild - Black Creme without a Top coat for the swatches above.

Apolo is a gorgeous Deep Blue linear holo. I wish there was sunlight around when I swatched this, but no such luck, I hope you can forgive the flash photo! I applied 3 coats of Apolo without a Top coat for the photos above.

Swatch: Finger Paints: Special Effects Collection (PIC HEAVY!!!)

Hi ladies! I have the Finger Paints 'Special Effects' to show you today, otherwise known as the 'Flakies'. Now, I've known from the second I saw the preview for the collection, that I wanted them. If you, like me, live in the UK or anywhere else besides the US/Canada, then you'll know that these are NOT available anywhere. So I organised a couple of US based swaps and asked each person if they'd be able to get them for me, luckily enough each person was only able to find one or two of the flakies, unfortunately, they were all the same kind; Twisted, Flashy & Asylum. I KNEW I had to find the other two, so I frantically went searching for them, by this time they were long gone out of the shops, so I knew my chances were slim...but luckily I found someone with back ups of both Flecked & Motley, the final two I needed. Needless to say I grabbed that opportunity as fast as I could.

Even after going through all of that trouble to get a hold of them, they've been sitting in my Helmer waiting to be shown off to the world for about 2 months now, sorry guys! But I've finally got around to swatching them, so here they are! All of the photos below are 2 coats of each 'Flakie' over Essie - Licorice and for the Matte photos, I used one coat of MASH - Matte Top Coat.

Swatch: GOSH - Rainbow

Hi ladies! I'm back again with another lusted after polish from GOSH; Rainbow. Like Holographic, Rainbow was discontinued a while back and is getting harder and harder to find at a reasonable price but being the bargain hunter I am, I was able to find it for £6! Which is only £1 more than GOSH retail price in the UK. Rainbow is a gorgeous flakie which shifts from Orange to Copper to Yellow & Green - if you could capture the beauty of Autumn/Fall in a nail polish, this would definitely be it! In the bottle there seems to even be a Blueish shift, but I didn't really see that on the nail. The photos below are one coat of Rainbow swatched over Essie - Licorice, as you can see even with just one coat the amount of flakes are unreal!

And of course, like multiple other polishes, I had to see what it was like matted! So here it is with one coat of ELF; Matte Finisher.

Did I mention already that this is ONE COAT?! I can safely say, that this is the most 'flaky' flakie polish I own. How would you like the chance to own one of your own?
