Challenge: Day 18 - Half Moons

Hi ladies! It's September 18th, which means it's time for Half Moon day! Now, I originally had an AMAZING idea for this, but as I was painting it on my nails, it wasn't turning out anything like I had hoped it would, so I completely scrapped it and took everything off. Annoyed at my failed attempt at nail art, I decided to take out my beautyuk nail wraps in leopard* (which I used in my Animal Print day) and trimmed them down so they were a little bit bigger than the half moon size I wanted. I then took out some round french manicure tips and sectioned off the 'half moon' and painted over it with OPI - I Brake For Manicures.

So there's my unimaginative mani for Half Moon day. I'm SO disappointed that I lack the required nail art skills that I needed to do my original idea, maybe once I'm half decent at freehand nail art, I'll show you! Remember, those of you wanting to add the inlinkz to your own posts, click here to be taken to the google doc with everything you'll need for the next 30 days!

Challenge: Day 15 - Delicate Print

Hi ladies! WE MADE IT!....Half way, of course. I feel a little bit of a celebration is in order, since we've made it this far *hands out some cake*. Celebrations aside, it's time to show you my terrible mani for Day 15, which is 'Delicate Nails'. I actually had a different mani in mind for this, but unfortunately, I was a little under-prepared for today's entry, so I had to think of something fast before the sun set and I didn't have time to do anything fancy, maybe I will re-post this mani at the end of the challenge too, who knows. As I was running out of time, I decided to use my beautyUK Nail Wraps* again, this time in Lace Noir*, since lace is associated with 'delicate print', I'm SO original, I know. Since I used the Nail Wraps over a naked base, I didn't like how the tips of my nail were visible on certain parts of the pattern, to hide this, I took out OPI - William Tell Me About OPI and did a french tip.

Amazing right?! Ha, who am I kidding?! I definitely need to work on my wrap applying skills, that's for sure, and I should have worn a base colour too! Challenge: Day 13 - Animal Print

Hi ladies! It's Day 13 of the 30 Day Challenge which means it's time for Animal Print nails! I recently received some Nail Wraps* in the mail from beautyUK which I haven't gotten around to trying, one of which was a Leopard* design. Now when it comes to Nail Wraps/foils/appliques, I struggle...bad. No matter what I try I can never get them to look smooth and 'natural' and this time around was no exception. Another thing I found with these wraps, is that some sizes were a little too small for my fingers, so I had to use the bits I filed off and add them back on to the nail. So please, excuse the HORRIBLE application of these and just enjoy the leopard print.

So there you have my rather terrible entry for Animal Print! Remember to add your link to the inlinkz form below so I can browse your entries for Day 13 too! For those of you wanting to add the inlinkz to your own posts, click here to be taken to the google doc with everything you'll need for the next 30 days!
