Swatch: Catrice - Khaki Perry

Hi ladies! I have another Catrice polish to show you today from my recent swap with Rosa! I must admit, I wanted this polish for it's name, as an 'in the closet' Katy Perry fan, I thought it was cute. Khaki Perry itself is a strange colour, a metallic mixture of Golds, Greens & Greys, but not really 'Khaki' as the name suggests. As it's a metallic finish, the brush strokes are visible on the nail and I did find with Khaki Perry they are a lot more apparent than some other metallic finishes. Streaky with the first coat, to achieve full coverage and also to even out the streaks, I applied 3 coats for the photos below without a Base/Top coat.

Originally released with the Modern Muse Collection as a limited edition polish, Khaki Perry has since been added into the permanent line, so you'll have no troubles locating it! What are your thoughts on Khaki Perry? Do you see it on your wish list any time soon?

Swatch: Purple Professional - 10

Hi ladies! Just a quick post to show you another Purple Professional polish in shade '10'. 10 is a dusty Purple creme with Pink undertones. I had no issues with the formula and it was opaque in 2 coats. The photos below are without a Top/Base coat, but I don't even think it needs a Top coat, unless you want long lasting wear, since it's already so glossy.

Purple Professional is fast becoming one of my favourite brands, their formula is practically flawless and their range of colours are amazing, I just wish I could get them easily! Stay tuned for some more Purple Professional polishes coming soon!

Swatch: Catrice - Dirty Berry

Hi ladies! I have a Catrice polish to show you today, which I recently received along side my Purple Professional polishes in my swap with Rosa! I've been wanting to try Catrice for the longest time, but since it's only available in 'main land' Europe and hasn't managed to work its way over to the UK yet, I wasn't easily able to get my hands on them! Luckily, I have some awesome friends in the polish community who were happy to help me out, thanks Karine & Rosa, and now I have my own little Catrice collection.
To kick off the launch of Catrice on my blog, I thought I would show you one of the prettiest from my collection, Dirty Berry. Dirty Berry is a muted, dusty Purple with scattered Holographic particles. Although the holo in Dirty Berry is not as apparent as some other scattered holos, it's still absolutely gorgeous. I had no issues with the formula and it applied well with only minimal streaking on the first coat, which evened out with the second. The photos below are 3 coats of Dirty Berry without a base/top coat.

Swatch: Purple Professional - 14

Hi ladies! I'm back with a new brand to my blog called Purple Professional. Purple Professional is a relatively new brand, which I believe is currently only available in Portugal. Starting out in the Gel Nails market, Purple Professional recently expanded their range regular polish too! Unfortunately, Purple Professional polishes aren't available online, but from select authorised retailers around Portugal. For a full list of those, check out Betty Nails post here to see if they're available near you!
I was lucky enough to receive 6 polishes in a recent swap I did with a lovely Portuguese lady named Rosa from The Nail Polish & The Blog amongst other AMAZING polishes. Unfortunately, Purple Professional polishes don't have names, just numbers, so here's number 14 for you! This didn't pick up too well on my camera, showing up as an almost sky Blue, it actually shows a lot more Teal in real life *is this real life!?*, sorry, I just HAD to...For the photos below I used two coats of 14 without a Base/Top coat. It applied well, without any flooding or streaks and dried quickly too, definitely a trait I look for in my nail polishes. The brush was relatively wide, slightly smaller than OPI brushes, and also flat, making the polish easy to apply.

Purple Professional polishes retail for around €3 and as I mentioned previously, can be ordered through any authorised retailers (here) or directly through their Facebook page. I'm told that Purple Professional are currently making plans to expand their brand outside of Portugal, so keep an eye out for updates by liking their Facebook page! How are you liking #14? Do you think you will be purchasing some Purple Professional any time soon? Stay tuned for more swatches!

Swatch: OPI - The Amazing Spiderman Collection

Hi ladies! I received my swap package from Nicel @ Operation: Nail It! this morning, inside it contained The Amazing Spiderman Collection by OPI as well as the final two OPI Suedes I needed to finish my collection, which she kindly allowed me to ship to her address from Aveyou. Throughout the course of our swap, I must have changed my mind a million and one times, but finally settled on this collection, minus the shatter; I'm REALLY not a fan of the crackle craze. You may remember I did a preview of this collection a while back, so for more information about the collection and the inspiration behind it, click here. So, let's get into the swatches, shall we?!

Swatch: Megan Miller - Framboise

Hi ladies! Remember me?! I'm really sorry that I have been almost non-existent over the past couple of weeks! To be honest, I'm completely overwhelmed at the moment and blogging/swatching has been one of the last things on my mind. I'm now in the process of kicking myself back into gear and getting up posts on a more regular basis, I just need to work out a schedule!
Anyway, back to the main post! I have a polish by a brand named Megan Miller, which I believe is relatively new to the polish scene with 12 colours currently in the collection. Ever since I first found out about Megan Miller, I have been wanting to try them out. The reason being the cute bottle the polish is housed in! I've honestly never seen anything quite like these little bottles of joy.
The polish I have to show you today is Framboise, a deep, Burgundy red jelly. The photos below are three coats of Framboise without a top/base coat. I was impressed with the formula, it was exactly the right consistency, not too runny (which I have found with a few jellies I have come across) and it dried in a good amount of time.

Megan Miller polishes are available to purchase worldwide from Mei Mei Signatures for 18SGD (Singapore Dollars) which works out at around £10/$14/€12 each for 15ml of product. As well as Megan Miller, Mei Mei Signatures stocks a wide range of polish from Indie Brands (Girly Bits, All That Glitters) to Mainstream Brands (China Glaze, OPI, Orly).  You can find both Megan Miller & Mei Mei Signatures on Facebook where they post latest news/discounts on various polishes from Mei Mei and upcoming polishes from Megan Miller!
